About the role

Overview

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, a leading provider of home health services, is seeking a talented Senior Accountant with expertise in multi-entity accounting to join our finance team. If you're a seasoned accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency in managing complex financial records across multiple entities, this role is for you!

  • This position is located at 6688 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75206.
  • All members of the accounting team are expected to work onsite, at the corporate office in Dallas, the first 10 business days of each month. 
  • Hybrid eligible: Once fully trained, this position will be eligible to work remotely 2-3 days per week.  

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Post journal entries, including documentation and approvals, for entries up to $100,000.
  • Analyze monthly financial statements, including cost per visit and variance analysis, providing clear explanations for findings.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
  • Mentor and train staff accountants, supporting their professional development.
  • Prepare complex functional journals, such as depreciation and revenue recognition, with accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate intermediate to advanced level consolidated reconciliations, identifying and resolving issues as needed.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, analyzing budget data and identifying trends.
  • Prepare valid explanations for inconsistencies in budgeted data and existing trends.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor's degree; accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on multi-entity accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency in Excel and the ability to use complex pivots and functions.
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare financial regulations and compliance preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
