Sport & Recreation Supervisor

<p>Ventia is seeking a Sport and Recreation Supervisor for our partnership with the Puckapunyal defence base near Seymour, Vic. <br/> This is a permanent role offering $27.26. </p> <p> </p> <p>Our team are responsible for maintaining a state of the art health and wellbeing center for Defence, including a weights room, cardio area, indoor courts a pool and 400m running track.</p> <p>In this role you will be responsible for scheduling sport and rec attendants’ shifts, and ensuring that the safety and cleanliness of the pool and gym are upheld. prior experience in supervising in gyms/fitness centers is desirable.<br/>  </p> <p>What we offer:</p> <ul> <li>On the job training and active support</li> <li>An inclusive and supportive work environment where you matter.</li> <li>There’s nothing more important to us than keeping our people and the public safe.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Organising team shifts working in the pool attendant or gym attendant role</li> <li>Supervising gymnasium and pool users</li> <li>General pool and gymnasium management and administration</li> <li>Administrative, used to using systems EOM responsibilities (some administrative responsibilities including end of month reporting)</li> <li>Attending to reception: check ins, equipment loan etc</li> <li>Monitoring pool usage and making sure safety rules are being followed.</li> <li>Surveying the gym and ensuring cleanliness is upheld</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>About you:</p> <ul> <li>First aid certificate</li> <li>Life guard qualification - required</li> <li>Cert III in fitness desirable but not required</li> <li>Car to get to the defence base</li> <li>Able to acquire a Working with Children Check</li> <li>Experience in team leadership</li> <li>Be aware that to meet Defence requirements, you must be an Australian citizen to apply for this role and, if successful, you will need to undergo a security clearance police check.</li> </ul> <p> <br/> You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check.</p> <p> </p> <p>Ventia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
