The Senior Publisher, Applied Sciences Journals, will </span><span>maintain</span><span> a portfolio of Engineering journals with a focus on enhancing performance of the current titles, exploring opportunities for new acquisitions and launches, and </span><span>participating</span><span> in a variety of company-and industry-wide initiatives.</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><b><span>Role </span><span>R</span><span><span>esponsibilities </span></span></b><span> </span></p><p><span><span>The Senior Publisher, under the supervision of the Executive Publisher, </span><span>is responsible for</span><span> the growth, </span><span>development</span><span> and editorial management of a portfolio of Engineering journals with the aim of becoming market leader within selected disciplines and geographies. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span> </span></p><ul><li><p><span><span>Strategic management of the portfolio, including prioritization of key titles, preparing and implementing journal <span>development/improvement</span> plans, as well as <span>establishing/monitoring</span> annual performance targets.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Driving the growth and development of a group of journals as part of the strategically defined overall portfolio strategy.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Engaging with Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board members to develop collaborative, long-term relationships that </span><span>yields</span><span> successful journal performance.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Negotiating contracts and renewals that aim toward, and result in, content quality and growth.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Monitoring financial performance and </span><span>identifying</span><span> opportunities to increase profitability.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Developing strong working relationships with Applied Sciences colleagues and across departments to </span><span>represent</span><span> the market needs of the portfolio.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Attending conferences and meetings, to project, and act upon, trends in the field, </span><span>establishing</span><span> yourself as an outstanding publishing expert.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Actively </span><span>participating</span><span> in the research communities to conduct market research and predict future trends. Requires traveling (domestic and international) to conferences and universities for in-person conversations with researchers.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Expanding the network of advisors and contributors, following changes within the research community and publishing industry to </span><span>identify</span><span> opportunities for new products and services.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Represent the global Applied Sciences Journals team at conferences as needed.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><span><span>Taking responsibility for </span><span>timely</span><span> resolution of research <span>integrity/publication</span> misconduct issues that arise, working closely with the SN Research Integrity Group as </span><span>appropriate</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><ul><li><p><s
