Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Architect to lead the development and architectural design of embedded software for our products. This role requires a visionary individual with deep expertise in embedded systems, capable of conceptualizing and implementing robust software architectures. The successful candidate will guide our embedded software development teams and drive strategic initiatives in embedded software design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design advanced software solutions for embedded systems, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
- Lead the development of complex software projects, including bare metal, RTOS, Linux kernel, firmware, and middleware.
- Guide teams in best practices for software development and architecture, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product managers, to define product requirements and software strategies.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance product capabilities and performance.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to junior developers and team members.
- Drive the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in embedded software and hardware technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in embedded software development, with a proven track record in software architecture.
- Expertise in C/C++ programming and assembly language, with a deep understanding of software and hardware interactions.
- Strong experience with RTOS, Linux kernel development, and upstream contributions.
- Demonstrated ability in architecting and developing firmware and middleware for complex embedded systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership qualities and experience in mentoring software engineers.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in leading large-scale software projects and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with modern embedded systems, including IoT and wireless technologies.
- Contributions to open-source projects or industry consortia.
