About this role:

Manager Advisory is seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to fill the role of Lead Business Execution Consultant.   In this individual contributor role, you will report to the head of strategy and operations for Manager Advisory and be an integral part of ensuring operational excellence.  Primary duties include leading the day-to-day operations of our HR advice function focusing on optimizing efficiencies, managing escalations, and risk management to include ensuring appropriate governance and controls are in place.  Additionally, you will play a critical role in operationalizing our ever-evolving scope through detailed planning and execution of various programs and initiatives critical to success. This role requires a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional adept at streamline processes, understanding and leveraging operational metrics, and strategic problem solving.


In this role, you will:

  • Drive operational excellence with a holistic, end-to-end lens focused on delivering a world-class experience for managers and optimizing Wells Fargo’s HR advice delivery model.

  • Represent Manager Advisory and our mission with HR partners and stakeholders, ensuring a Design Thinking approach to drive broad operational solutions.

  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations

  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans

  • Be accountable for the development, documentation, and continuous enhancement of operational procedures.  Collaborate with partner HR services to ensure an excellent user experience where multiple services are needed to deliver support/resolution and to mitigate risks.

  • Oversee risk management through implementation and maintenance of appropriate governance and controls, testing any controls as needed.  Conduct regular reviews, identifying areas for improvement and recommend mitigation measures.  

  • Work with our business continuity partner and head of strategy & operations to ensure the BCP is accurate and adequate, ensuring preparedness and resilience for the Manager Advisory function.

  • Be the primary escalation point for procedural and platform issues, working with cross-functional teams as necessary to quickly resolve.

  • Own capacity planning and resource management, conducting analysis and forecasting of capacity requirements based on core workload, special projects, and scope expansion.  Continually refine the capacity planning, managing time studies as needed.

  • Accountable for continual monitoring and analysis of KPIs to evaluate efficiency, productivity, and service quality.  Work with data & analytics lead to periodically reassess and enhance KPIs.   

  • Partner with change readiness lead to execute comprehensive readiness plans needed for technology enhancements, procedural changes, and other strategic initiatives.

  • Drive the successful implementation of initiatives, taking into consideration the dynamic and matrixed nature of the HR function

  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, monitoring progress and escalating issues, and limit risk exposure as appropriate.

  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in HR ServiceNow platform.

  • Prior experience leading HR operational teams and processes.

  • Experience managing escalations, process improvements, and issue resolution.

  • Proven ability to analyze and interpret operational metrics and use data-driven insights to recommend improvements.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present findings, influence stakeholders, and support decision making at senior levels.

  • Familiarity with capacity planning techniques
