We are seeking a results-oriented AWS Marketplace O2C (Order-to-Cash) Senior Manager to partner with Finance Operations teams, AWS Marketplace, and support functions to design, implement, and drive control mechanisms to streamline collection from Marketplace customers. In this global role, you will be a big-thinker who will help transform our Marketplace collections capabilities, providing thought leadership on policy changes, process automation, and execution opportunities.
A critical factor for candidate success is the ability to manage complexity, distill this into easily understood and actionable steps, and influence the organization to deliver required changes. This is an individual contributor role that will count with execution support from a dotted line organization and tech teams, including analysts and support staff of ~400 across the globe. This single-threaded-leader must be comfortable partnering and influencing business leaders up to VPs, customers, technology, and operations stakeholders. The role’s charter will evolve over time, driving key projects and operational improvements as the business grows.


Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
• Partner with Marketplace teams to gather feedback and requirements on collections/receivables opportunity areas. Identify and quantify process defects that impact the customer experience and AWS/seller cash flow, designing actions aimed at addressing opportunities and working with teams to implement and develop monitoring mechanisms.

• Lead root cause analyses with the organization and customers, to understand pain points / opportunity areas, and work with AWS sales, billing, and tech teams to build customer-first solutions that help reduce the cash conversation cycle.

• Define new KPIs to inform decision making.

• Partner with support center in delivering collections goals

• Define technology requirements for automation and process scalability



Basic Qualifications


  • 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools experience
  • 8+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 8+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
  • 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • 5+ years of Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
