Job Description:

The Laboratories of Drs. Ramon Sun and Craig Vander Kooi are seeking multiple laboratory technicians.  Research focuses on building up Spatial Biomolecule Research at UF (https://casbr.biochem.med.ufl.edu/) working on multiple NIH funded projects.  The ideal candidate will join a team focused on understanding the structure and function of biomolecules, and applying these insights to spatial molecular imaging using mass spectrometry to define the molecular basis of human disease.  Specific foci including inherited hearing loss and glycogen storage disorders. Successful candidates should demonstrate traits such as attention to detail, eagerness to learn, reliability, a strong work ethic, and passion to discover novel scientific insights in biology.

Expected Salary:

$15-$17 per hour, commensurate with education and experience

Minimum Requirements:

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or similar area.

• Laboratory research experience.

• Design and execution of experiments and data analysis.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently yet be a team player.
