Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Chemical Patrol in Lake Charles, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with staff, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, including areas associated with chemical and petrochemical operations.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and/or unauthorized individuals within the premises to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activities as required by site protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
  • Follow all site-specific procedures related to chemical and petrochemical environments, including access control and hazardous material awareness.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
