The Athletic Director manages athletic programs by developing budgets, hiring and supervising, scheduling events, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Key responsibilities include promoting the program, overseeing facilities and equipment, coordinating fundraising efforts, managing member welfare, and maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.  Strong leadership, management, and financial skills required.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Management:

Overseeing all aspects of the athletic program, including establishing policies, procedures, and long-range plans for fitness, racquet, and swimming departments.

• Financial Administration:

Developing and managing budgets, coordinating fundraising, and approving equipment purchases. 

• Staff Management:

Recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating new employees and athletic department staff. 

• Event Coordination:

Scheduling staff, trainers, and events, and coordinating facility use. 

• Facility & Equipment Oversight:

Inspecting and maintaining athletic facilities and equipment for cleanliness, safety, and upkeep. 

• Marketing & Promotion:

Promoting athletic events and the overall program to members, employees, and the wider community.
