What You Will Do:
Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments (2005–2016) across Production, Test, and Development.
Administer and support Oracle databases (10g, 11g, 12c, 19c) on Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
Proactively monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning to ensure availability, security, and optimal system performance.
Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks, including locking, blocking, deadlocks, index fragmentation, and slow-running queries.
Perform T‑SQL performance tuning, code reviews, and optimization; collaborate closely with application and development teams.
Manage and test backup, restore, and Point‑in‑Time Recovery processes aligned with RTO and RPO requirements.
Lead and support SQL Server upgrades and migrations from legacy versions.
Administer TempDB configuration, database compression, and overall database optimization.
Implement and enforce database security best practices, including user access, encryption, TDE, auditing, data masking, and compliance monitoring.
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain SSIS/ETL solutions using SSDT/BIDS, SSIS, BCP, and Import/Export tools.
Configure and maintain SQL Server Agent jobs, alerts, maintenance plans, and Database Mail.
Support and administer SSRS environments as needed.
Collaborate with data modelers and architects on logical and physical database design and implementation.
Maintain accurate database documentation, including data standards, procedures, data dictionaries, and models.
Utilize monitoring and ticketing tools to manage incidents, changes, and service requests in accordance with SLAs.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree or additional four (4) years of exp in lieu of degree.
Minimum Four (4) years of experience with Database Administration.
Strong hands-on experience as a Database Administrator supporting enterprise SQL Server environments.
Proven expertise in T‑SQL development and optimization, including stored procedures, indexes, UDFs, CTEs, triggers, and complex queries.
Solid experience administering Oracle databases, including RMAN, Data Guard, RAC, ASM, and OEM.
Demonstrated experience in database performance tuning using tools such as AWR, ADDM, Statspack, and SQL Server native utilities.
In-depth knowledge of RDBMS concepts, data modeling, and database architecture.
Strong experience with HA/DR architectures and business continuity planning.
Hands-on experience with backup/recovery strategies, capacity planning, and disaster recovery testing.
Experience applying service packs, cumulative updates, patches, and hotfixes.
Familiarity with SDLC processes and working in Agile or traditional development environments.
Experience using enterprise monitoring and management tools (e.g., Redgate, SolarWinds, Erwin, Toad).
Experience working with ticketing systems such as Remedy or Jira.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Must be a US Citizen or a Green Card holder.
