About the role

Fanatics Collectibles is looking for a Production Planning Data Analyst to assist in setting and managing production priorities through the manufacturing process, delivering everything from real-time prioritization to multi-month forecasting by leveraging historical and real-time production data. The Data Analyst will report to the Production Planning Senior Manager. Given the team’s mandate to ensure Fanatics Collectibles can deliver everything from flagship products to small run projects with a goal of 100% On-Time Delivery, this analyst will be expected to:

  1. Identify which attributes must be considered to plan production jobs through each manufacturing department
  2. Build / manage data models and tools to assist in the production planning process
  3. Assess products based on complexity, value, volume, and demand along with manufacturing capacity to ensure they are scheduled to balance capacity with value to Fanatics and our customers
  4. Improve existing tools and processes used to build daily, weekly, and monthly production plans
  5. Lead daily and weekly planning meetings with manufacturing department leads
  6. Report out on actual production output against plan to executive leadership team

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent analytical skills, a demonstrated propensity for problem-solving, and experience with scheduling / planning in a manufacturing organization. Within the first 6 months, you will…

  • Analyze historical production data to identify data trends that would be helpful in future planning
  • Build new data models or tools alongside manufacturing leadership to drive production planning across departments
  • Set and modify production schedules & problem solve when issues arise against plan
  • Own high-visibility initiatives to improve planning processes and tools
  • Analyze large sets of data from various sources to ensure the right inputs are used for production planning and job scheduling
  • Work alongside manufacturing experts to learn end-to-end process for building, assembling, and packing trading cards

The Ideal Candidate: 

  • 2+ years of professional experience, with a preference for Manufacturing, Planning, Finance / Accounting, or Scheduling roles
  • Problem solving mindset, with a passion for solving highly complex problems collaboratively with coworkers on multiple teams
  • Experience analyzing large sets of data, turning insights into decisions 
  • Analytical expertise with the desire and ability to dive deep into problem-solving
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, with past experience in both Excel and BI
  • Spanish proficiency preferred
