Saw Operator - Swing Shift

Description

Specialty Metals Corporation has a career opportunity for an individual that is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and is a team player. We have an opening for a Saw Operator on our swing shift. Qualifying applicants must be safety conscious and quality oriented. They must have at least three years of experience in the metals industry operating band saws with miter and automatic feed capabilities. We may be willing to train the right applicant!

Requirements

Applicant must be familiar with the following (may be willing to train the right applicant):

* Setting up procedures regarding feed pressures and band speeds

* Using blade applications for all types and grades of metals

* Deciphering blue prints, drawings & sketches

* Reading a tape measure, calipers, micrometers and angle finders

* Operating a forklift and overhead crane

* Verifying quality using simple precision measurement equipment

* ISO experience a plus
