Job Description

Together with Business Unit leaders, the Senior Financial Analyst - Business Unit Controller is responsible for steering North American consolidated profitability (the full P&L) for 2-3 major business units and for performing other ad hoc analysis and financial reporting as business need requires.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Act as business partner for multiple business units.  Provide consulting and recommendations to the regional business unit leaders to drive profitability
  • Lead critical review and analysis of annual forecasts, budgets and monthly performance
  • Present financial results including forecasts and business plan in order to drive optimal strategic results and be prepared to support conclusions through sound data analysis
  • Act as North America Core Project Lead point of contact for any questions.
  • Identify and execute process improvement opportunities, including automating existing reports and steam-lining processes to increase efficiency
  • Be proficient in data mining and correlate multiple data points to identify, synthesize and recommend business decisions and direction
  • Oversee regional and consolidated financial packages for local management (regional office), German and US corporate offices as well as management for other Bosch divisions
  • Analyze and provide recommendations regarding potential risks and opportunities to the business
  • Assist with presentations to support CFO and regional president
  • Ad-hoc analysis as necessary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent area of study required
  • 5+ years’ experience in corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) field, including budgeting, forecasting and analysis
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills (both written and oral)
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, VBA, SQL, Essbase, Hyperion); report generation, statistical computation, creation of ad-hoc analyses.  Experience with database creation/management strongly preferred
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without VISA sponsorship; not eligible for VA/VN assignment.
