As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. You’ll play a crucial role in the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment, and ongoing support.

What you will do:

  • Design, solution, code, troubleshoot, resolve, and test software features and components in an Agile environment as part of a Full Stack team

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine software requirements

  • Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards

  • Contribute to architectural decisions and design discussions

  • Participate in on-call rotation

What you will bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in full stack development in Java/J2EE, Design Patterns, and open-Source frameworks

  • Experience with API development (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, RESTful APIs)

  • Solid experience with relational databases and PL/SQL

  • Experience with Git, Git Lab

  • Experience in a UNIX/Linux environment

  • Exposure to production support using a job scheduler

  • Experience with Agile principles

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of professional experience and/or training required

What will set you apart:

  • Experience working in the financial or retirement sector

  • Experience with UI development (React, Angular, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML, CSS3)

  • Experience with AWS, including Lambda, EC2, ECS, Cloud Formation, S3, etc

  • Experience with build/deploy via Jenkins pipelines and application servers such as WebLogic and Tomcat

  • Experience with XML, EJB, CORBA, JDBC, REST, SOAP

  • A background in retirement services or financial industries
