About this role: 

Internships at ConnectOne Bank provide a paid working experience to college students in a variety of departments within the organization. Each summer the internship experience is unique. Interns work within individual departments but are also asked to work on projects. 

This internship provides an overview of careers in the banking field. 

Highlights from previous summers:

• Interns will be participating in various networking events throughout the summer. 
• Interns participated in "Departmental Overview and Interview” sessions including a variety of business and development topics.
• Interns participated in community service by working with CNOB partnered Not-for-Profit organizations.

Interns on our Retail Banking team will gain the following experience:

• Support the Bank’s “People First” focus and rules of engagement—maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance, working as an active member of the CNOB team, providing all clients excellent service; always striving to make CNOB “A Better Place to Be”.
• Conduct Teller functions including performing banking transactions over the phone or at the drive-up window including accepting deposits, cashing checks, and assisting clients with other banking needs, and branch opening and closing. Use of a TCR may be required.
• Perform service transactions for the Branch to include check re-orders, address/name changes, safe deposit box access, outbound wires, and account maintenance.
• Handles Client service issues; conducting research, taking ownership and following up on a daily basis as necessary until resolved.
• Assist other branch team members with transactions and overall operations, as necessary.
• Ensures all activities, transactions, and records are in compliance with operational, security, and control procedures of the Bank, as well as all applicable laws and regulations
• Effective team building and interpersonal communication abilities are necessary.

The Summer 2025 Internship Program will run from May 29th, 2025, through August 8th, 2025. In order to get the most out of the internship experience, attendance is important. This position is full time and 40 hours or more weekly. Travel to the branches, corporate offices and community events will be required. 

Our Retail internships will be held in our various branch locations.
