Project Director

Position Summary:

The Project Director will provide oversight and assume responsibility related to the successful execution of multiple projects and supervising all associated tasks in support of successful client and project management. This role will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and reconciling activities with assigned Commercial projects, regardless of scope and size as well as launch all projects within an agreed to timeframe per Scope of Work.

 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

• Provide direct oversight, management, and follow up on assigned projects or projects from direct reports
• Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all assigned projects and provides recommendations and guidance to escalated issues from direct reports
• Lead client facing interactions and coordinate with technical team
• Communicate with and manage relationships with internal and external clients, customers, team members, and other stakeholders
• Author study documentation, create reports, and present information in a timely manner and as requested by internal and external stakeholders
• Assist the Senior Project Director in ensuring that all projects are managed and executed as per the terms of awarded contracts
• Enforce GMP/GLP/ISO/CLIA/Global regulations and standards within all aspects of the department and overall project execution
• Require an environment that is compliant with all global quality and corporate policies and procedures
• Lead and manage staff in keeping with expressed objectives and corporate culture, and in doing so provide a workplace where ideas are sought and considered, initiative is encouraged, success is rewarded, and employees are treated fairly, with respect and recognition
• May need to remain current on IATA Shipping Regulations and maintain certification and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or related field
• 4 years’ experience in Project Management in a scientific or technical discipline managing/leading large/complex projects or equivalent work experience

 

Other Required:

• Must have strategically focused operational and management experience in a Biotechnology, Repository, pharmaceutical or similar industry
• Able to independently manage multiple projects and lead projects to support corporate goals
• All aspects of highly developed interpersonal, communication and management skills are required
• Proven experience managing and/or overseeing management of multiple projects simultaneously is a requirement
• Knowledge with GLP/GMP/CLIA/ISO/Global regulatory guidelines
• Confidentiality, excellent use of judgment and discretion required relative to sensitive and restricted Company and employee information
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Excellent use of judgment and discretion
• Extended work hours may be necessary in order to meet business demands
• Must possess strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Must possess a valid driver’s license allowing you to drive in the state(s) you drive in  
• Able to travel both domestically and internationally including overnight stays
• Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

 

Preferred:

• Project Management Certification desirable (PMI, PMP)

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.Reasonable estimate of the current range$110,000—$140,000 USD
