Job Summary

In this role, the Senior Manager, Global Process Lead, Supply Network Planning, will lead end-to-end process and system design globally for Supply Network Planning using the current SAP APO-SNP software. This includes successful integration (process and systems) with the Manufacturing plants. You would identify gaps with the current design in conjunction with the Digital and Transformation Team, Global Supply Planning teams, and West’s Manufacturing locations. You would set the requirements and own the design successfully integrating supply network planning with the Plant Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) module in the ongoing SAP S/4HANA implementations. You would lead the Super User network in Supply Planning and Manufacturing and ensure that process documentation, training, and education are successfully deployed and updated. You would lead the end-to-end design of processes with future SAP supply network planning software. This role sits within the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence team and works closely with Business Process Owners, Functional Global Process Leads, Plant Supply Chain teams, Super Users, Digital and Transformation support, and the S/4HANA Project teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end robust and capable system and processes for Global centralized APO-SNP Supply Network Planning integrated with Planning & Scheduling processes and systems (ECC and S/4HANA PPDS)
  • Define, create, plan, and execute solutions to existing system and process issues as well as interfaces and gaps with clear project plans, milestones, and accountabilities
  • Own the end-to-end design and support of future implementations in other Operating Units
  • Develop User Acceptance Testing criteria and facilitate testing activities with Super Users for deploying enhancements and new implementations
  • Own the end-to-end design and support of future implementations utilizing next generation of SAP planning software such as IBP
  • Escalate issues and identify root cause with corresponding corrective actions
  • Create strategic plans with Business Process Owners (BPOs) and end users to identify process and system enhancement opportunities that identify clear capacity issues and future needs, drive the optimum inventory strategies and working capital, improve customer service levels, and reduce lead times
  • Engage stakeholders across the business to drive benefits and understanding of new processes
  • Lead and coach the Super User network in Supply Network Planning ensuring documentation is current and training needs are identified and delivered
  • Own the ESOP (Enterprise Standard Operating Procedure) and additional Work Instructions for Global Supply Planning managed in the Enterprise Quality Management System
  • Provide leadership and benchmark external Best Practices within Supply Planning and Plant Scheduling
  • Champion and drive end-user adoption of SAP solutions in the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years in related field preferred
  • 3-5 years APO-SNP knowledge and experience or comparable supply network planning software
  • Supply Planning User experience, Center of Excellence in Supply Network Planning, or IT/Digital technical planning systems experience
  • Pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience preferred
