About the role

The AR supervisor will be responsible for leading the AR team to deliver timely and accurate billing and cash collections. This role will be responsible for assisting in past due balance resolution as well as performing various reporting on billing, collections, and productivity. This role requires direct supervision of up to 10 accounting clerks, and performance in the role will be measured by the ability to control AR aging balances, maintain clean reconciliations, and lead an efficient and productive team. The role will report directly to the accounting and finance manager in the Newport Beach office.

Requirements

Responsibilities Include:

· Supervision and continued development of AR staff, including interviewing, onboarding, and training of direct reports.

· Interact with attorneys and staff on their billable hours, client balances, and resolution

· Perform various reporting on client balances, aging AR, and collections

· Provide recommendations on balance eligibility for collections according to governing laws and regulations

· Assist accounts receivable clerks with balance resolutions through escalations and client contact, as necessary

· Provide management team with accounting information and analysis as needed

· Provide detail, support, and explanations to partners on balances, write-offs, and deduction trends.

· Offer process improvement ideas to the management team for efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree business, accounting, or a related field, required

· 3+ years in accounts receivables with a general understanding of US GAAP principles, required

· 1+ years of supervisory experience of 3 or more employees, required

· General understanding of time & cost (legal) billing

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and system knowledge

· Microsoft Office experience – specifically intermediate Excel skill level

Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000
