The Data Entry Specialist enters and updates information into the Batteries Plus databases and computer systems while maintaining accurate records of product data information. The Data Entry Specialist enforces product data standards and procedures within the Data Management team.
This is a temporary role for 3 to 6 months with 20 to 40 hours per week.

Essential Responsibilities
Data Entry
- Enter customer and account data from source documents by inputting alphanumerical information within time limits.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any incompatibilities, and check output.
- Research and obtain further information for incomplete product information.
- Manage department emails, store and internal data submissions, and other weekly/monthly recurring departmental tasks.
- Run and pull weekly reports that provide information that needs to be updated in the data management systems
Data Integrity & Analysis
- Ensure accurate entry information throughout all data systems by enforcing data standards and rules.
- Comply with data integrity and security policies
- Accurately enter alphanumeric product data (UPCs, item/vendor item numbers, costs, product descriptions, attributes, etc.) and other data.
- Provide weekly updates of tasks and project status of project development.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous office, administrative, or data entry experience preferred
- Ability to learn new processes quickly, follow written and verbal instructions, and complete paperwork within defined procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products and Google Suite, with a demonstrated ability to use internet and intranet systems to research/locate solutions.
- Quick and accurate 10-key and typing speed.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work with confidential data.
