Job Description

The Sr. Associate / Associate Asset Manager will be responsible for asset managing a portfolio of LandCo’s nationwide investments.  The position is ideally suited for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual with a solid asset management / land development background.  This individual should have the desire to be a part of a rapidly expanding program, and work within a team of other highly motivated individuals.  This position will require significant travel. The individual will likely need to be located in Arizona.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall project oversight post-closing

  • Complete property inspections as part of monitoring project performance, horizontal land development progress and budget tracking

  • Analyze project financials and performance metrics to monitor asset risk

  • Conduct market research and analysis to obtain local market knowledge of competitor offerings, positioning, location, and market supply and demand trends

  • Problem solve project and portfolio level development issues through research and analysis

  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly portfolio reports for Investment Committee, Investors and Senior Management

  • Assist in the due diligence and underwriting of potential transactions (analyze builder Pro Forma / budget, attend site visit, provide input on local market conditions, etc.)

  • Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks

Following are the requirements for the position:

  • Experience in single-family asset management and / or residential land development

  • Bachelor’s degree (prefer real estate, business or finance)

  • High proficiency in MS Excel and other MS applications required

  • Ability and willingness to become Notary

  • Strong management skills, with an ability to work independently and multitask

  • Highly motivated, with a positive "can do" attitude

  • Ability to think like an owner in all decision making

  • Willingness to travel
