About the Opportunity:
Chelsea Piers Fitness seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager (CP PM) to assist in the construction of 3–4 world class Chelsea Piers fitness clubs over the next 36 – 48 months. Construction of our next club is expected to commence in Q4 2025. The CP PM will work directly with the Senior VP of Construction and the CEO and will be a key player on our internal construction and development team. The CP PM will have extensive knowledge and experience managing the entire construction process, including estimating, scheduling, logistics, cost management, financial reporting, contract administration, and construction operations.

The CP PM will work at the direction of the SVP of Construction and will either assist with, or be fully responsible for the following:  

• Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors to monitor construction progress, resolve issues and ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Monitor job sites and serve as owners rep with construction team
• Fully understand the project/construction schedule and be on site to monitor work progress and ensure schedule requirements for the project are being properly planned and maintained
• Oversee project budgeting and cost control and manage change orders to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
• Manage, track, and review change order requests from General Contractors and/or Construction Managers
• Review the Schedule of Values for the monthly requisitions, ensuring they on track for timely completion
• Coordinate all trades on site to ensure schedule and logistics requirements for the project being managed are being properly planned and maintained
• Manage and coordinate the process for lobbies and amenities, ensuring that design plans are executed accurately and align with the overall project vision
• Maintain effective communication with project team members and stakeholders to provide project updates, address concerns and foster strong working relationships
• Conduct and coordinate regular site inspections to assess project progress, identify risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
• Attend weekly progress meetings with key stakeholders to provide necessary updates
• Lead weekly meetings with general contractors and/or construction managers
• Review Request for Information (RFI) submitted by the Subcontractor prior to submitting to the design professionals. Coordinate the distribution of RFI responses to appropriate General Contractors and/or Construction Managers
• Review shop drawings and submittals submitted by the General Contractors and/or Construction Managers to verify they are consistent with project requirements
• Visit critical fabricators to track and monitor progress of the work against schedule, monthly billings and budget
• Perform other relates duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3-10 years’ experience in the field. Experience in hospitality and fitness projects preferred
• Skilled in resolving conflicts and gaining cooperation among individuals with competing interests and goals
• Knowledge of Prolog Software, Autodesk, Plan Grid or similar strongly preferred
• Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and cost principles desired
