dormakaba is seeking a Human Resources Intern based in Indianapolis (Onsite). This role will report directly to the HR Specialist.

HOURLY HIRING RANGE: $19.00/hr. - $23.00/hr. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

What you will do

  • Participate in a summer project work focused on enhancing employee experience, development programs, or workforce processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by asking thoughtful questions, exploring new HR tools, and offering creative problem‑solving ideas
  • Shadow HR team members to learn about employee relations, staffing, performance management, and plant HR processes
  • Demonstrate adaptability by working on diverse tasks and adjusting to changing priorities
  • Attend weekly Lunch and Learn sessions where you will learn more about a Business Topic of the Week! Examples of past topics include Presentation Skills, Environmental Health and Safety, Our Products, Finance 101, etc.

 

What we require

  • Currently perusing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with anticipated graduation date of Winter 2026 – Spring 2029
  • Availability to work full-time, onsite in Indianapolis, 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks (May - August 2026)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and independently when needed

What we prefer

  • Coursework in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology/ IO Psychology, Adult Learning, Organizational Leadership, or related fields
  • Prior internship or project experience within a HR team focused on People Development and Employee Relations
