About the Role
As a Mid-level AWS Engineer, you will ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of AWS cloud environments that support critical business operations. This support-focused role requires strong troubleshooting ability, hands-on cloud engineering skills, and a proactive mindset to prevent and resolve issues.
You will manage Level 2–3 incidents, optimize cloud resources, contribute to automation efforts, and collaborate with multiple technical teams. The role follows a rotating shift (4 weekdays + 1 alternating weekend day), ensuring consistent operational coverage.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Monitor and troubleshoot AWS infrastructure across compute, storage, database, and networking layers.
• Handle Level 2–3 cloud incidents with minimal supervision.
• Implement improvements to system reliability, automation, and performance.
• Work with Terraform, CloudFormation, or scripting to maintain infrastructure as code.
• Optimize cloud costs, resource utilization, and security posture.
• Conduct root cause analyses for recurring issues and propose long-term fixes.
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and development teams on operational enhancements.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation, and operational standards.
• Participate in a rotating support schedule (08:00–16:00, 4 weekdays + 1 alternating weekend day).
Technologies & Tools
• Cloud Platform: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, Autoscaling)
• Automation & Scripting: Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, Bash
• Monitoring & Logging: CloudWatch, AWS Config, GuardDuty, logging dashboards
• Processes & Frameworks: ITIL, incident management, change management, DevOps concepts
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering, cloud operations, or DevOps roles
Strong working knowledge of AWS core services across compute, storage, networking, monitoring, and databases (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, RDS)
Proven ability to independently handle Level 2–3 cloud incidents, including investigation, resolution, and escalation when required
Experience monitoring production environments, identifying performance or availability issues, and implementing corrective actions
Solid troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application-adjacent cloud components
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
Ability to contribute to operational improvements, automation initiatives, and system reliability enhancements
Familiarity with IT service management practices, including incident, problem, and change management
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document root causes, runbooks, and operational procedures
Willingness and availability to work a rotating support schedule, including weekend shifts
Nice to Have
AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification
Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS)
