About the role

We are looking for a Manager of Embedded Linux Development Team to strengthen our ambitious RnD team in Lithuania. You will work with the leading networking solutions in the world and master your leadership skills.

 

Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Embedded Linux developers
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment to enhance team performance and satisfaction
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and other teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team’s expertise remains cutting-edge
  • Work closely with hardware team and other cross-functionals teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
  • Facilitate clear communication between departments to align development efforts with business goals.
  • Identify potential project risks and implement mitigations strategies to minimize impact
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management on project progress, team performance and technical issues
  • Engage with customers to gather requirements, provide technical expertise and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Lead efforts to improve development processes, boost system performance, and enhance product quality

 

What we expect of you:

  • Have strong leadership skills, communication skills, ability to inspire, motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Basic knowledge about Embedded Systems development
  • Basic knowledge about Linux OS
  • Have strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Have the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Have a passion for mentoring and developing team members
  • Have experience in providing constructive feedback and career development support
  • Have ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively
  • Have ability to analyse data from testing and user feedback to inform decision-making and product improvements

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with various departments
  • Experience in defining and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team and project performance
  • Experience managing remote or distributed teams, including tools and strategies for eff
