The Powertrain Operations Team is responsible for supporting advanced engineering development activities throughout the Powertrain organization, including prototype build and test of hardware for Lucid Motors’ next generation HV Battery, Drive Unit and Power Electronics programs, at our headquarters in Newark, CA.
We are currently seeking a Production Control Specialist to own the material planning process and other critical activities for our prototype build teams.

The Role:

  • Ensure coordination of components necessary for prototype production, based on build plan communicated by builds project management team
  • Systematically and continuously keep and track material inventory to ensure parts availability for prototype production, based on build plan communicated by builds project management team
  • Forecast, prevent and communicate material shortages to the builds project management team
  • Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Logistics teams to create up to date material flow schedules
  • Ensure optimal flow of individual parts from warehouse to production lines by planning lineside delivery schedules and material staging locations
  • Manage and update internal tracking sheets and generate activity reports, as necessary
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively across all levels within Lucid to provide administrative support, as needed
  • Analyze and review internal processes and propose process improvements, as necessary, to eliminate redundancies, optimize process flow and increase efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools / Smartsheet / Jira
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Material Planning
  • Ability to work at a desk in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 35 pounds for various needs
  • Works at times in outdoor weather conditions

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in data analysis
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college – supply chain, business operations, or technical discipline preferred
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions ,including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. ·       California (Bay Area) - $96,000-$132,000/yr Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
