Valmet is seeking: 1 Trainee Sales - Flow Control Business Line
Location: Lisbon, Portugal

 

The selected candidate will join the South Europe, Middle East, and Africa Trainee program, an excellent opportunity to network with graduates from various countries.
 

The trainee's objective: to support the Flow Control team in Portugal in growing the business. Focus on sectors other than pulp and paper and oil and gas, expanding into areas such as power generation, food and beverage, refineries, and chemicals.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with customer inquiries and help identify suitable product solutions
  • Learn to interpret customer specifications and translate them into appropriate technical offers.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (logistics, operations, and engineering) to ensure timely responses to customer requests.
  • Support order management activities, including tracking deliveries and documentation.
  • Help maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
  • Participate in product and technical training to develop expertise in industrial valves, instrumentation, and Valmet’s portfolio.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring a high standard of communication and service.
  • Stay informed about company products, technologies, and market trends.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions, including occasional travel when required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Strong interest in sales and technical applications within an industrial environment.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English.
  • Basic understanding of technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
