Job Description
As an IT Services company, our ability to recruit, retain and develop people is at the heart of our success and our ability to grow. Version 1 is now 3,000+ people across Ireland, the UK, Spain, India plus the US. In the last 18 months, we have grown significantly and we have the plan and the pipeline of work to continue that trajectory. We were recently announced as the Number 1 Best Large Workplace in Ireland by the Great Place to Work. This role will be the leader of the Talent Acquisition and Workforce Management/Planning functions, both of which are key to taking our success and growth to the next level and need to be scaled and enhanced.
What’s your start point? We are currently hiring over 150 people a quarter in the team and have made a significant investment in recruitment tooling. We make significant use of psychometric tools both for recruitment and people development, the DISC model in particular. We’re implementing a new Enterprise-wide resource management application. Plus lots more going on, with a growing team of 25+ people.

This role will be pivotal in our business growth and is an extremely important hire for us and as such, there will be significant interaction with the senior team and an opportunity to expand in your role as the business grows. This is a great opportunity for a leader looking to put their own mark on a Talent function and reports to the Director of Strategy, Planning & People.
Some of your initial focus areas will likely be:
Workforce Planning
- Lead the way on planning the workforce and capacity we’ll need in the future. Shift the balance from reactive to proactive people and skills planning.
- Join up our Demand coming through from our Commercial and Delivery teams better with the Talent Acquisition team so that we can hire ahead of the curve.
Talent Acquisition
- Develop and lead our recruiting strategy and delivery approach to strategic, experienced and early careers hiring.
- Identify, evaluate and initiate use of new and diverse sourcing channels to meet recruitment goals supported by data e.g. leveraging Nearshore partners, Open Talent and/or RPO.
Candidate Experience
- Lead on continuously enhancing the experience our candidates have, making it personalised, highly responsive and matching them with the right opportunities we have available now or in the future.
- As a consultancy, we have a huge range of roles working with our customers which provide opportunities for career progression for our people. You’ll significantly increase the amount of internal mobility in the organisation by changing mindsets and removing barriers to movement.
- Embed Diversity & Inclusion awareness to ensure everyone involved has a deep understanding of how to attract and hire a diverse talent pool and have a real impact on our ability to hire a diverse workforce.
Qualifications

- Experience in hiring and managing high-achieving talent teams, with proven success in Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships, and manage stakeholders, both internally and externally to your organisation with clear ability to influence others.
- A demonstrable data-driven and analytical approach to problem-solving and management
- Experience of the technology and/or consulting industry.
- Ability to be hands on where the situation warrants it, but equally an ability to operate with a longer-term strategic view point.
