CNC Machinist and Programmer

We’re hiring a CNC Machinist and Programmer to join the Mechanical Production team within the Westinghouse Parts Business. In this role, you will be responsible for executing and/or assembly operations. You will perform performs multiple assignments in support of machining, mechanical assembly, repair, refurbishment of equipment, components or tooling systems. You may also be responsible for electrical, mechanical and visual inspections.

 

You will report to the Mechanical Product Manager and will be based out of our New Stanton, PA facility.

 

Your Day to Day:

• Verify semi-complex dimensions with measuring instruments and/or analyze specifications and determine tooling by applying knowledge of metal properties, machining technique and mathematics.
• Comprehend advanced fundamentals of mechanical parts and equipment, and/or machine metal work pieces, tools or parts.
• Set up and operate machine tools, surface grinders, lathes and milling machines.
• Program, Set-Up and Operate CNC Machine Tools.
• Design and fabricate fixtures for machining.
• Maintain ANSI Level I Certification for Mechanical Testing and Inspection as applicable.

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection skills. Specific knowledge of electrical or mechanical drawing, or machining plus mathematics
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
