Job Description:

The University of Northern Iowa's Department of Philosophy and World Religions seeks applicants for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor of Religious Studies to teach three in-person courses, beginning August 2025. The primary teaching responsibility is two sections of world religions, a course in UNI’s general education program, with the possibility of an additional course in an area of the candidate’s expertise. The successful candidate will share the department's commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Education Requirements: ABD in any field in the study of religion required.

Required Qualifications: Ability to teach world religions, and experience teaching in person, face-to-face courses required.

Preferred Qualifications: Earned doctorate in religious studies, and evidence of successful face-to-face teaching experience at the undergraduate level preferred.
