Job Description

As a Security Guard - Mall Patrols in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for customers and staff. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to support a welcoming atmosphere, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication and approachability. This position involves driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is required. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual conditions or activities, documenting incidents as required by site protocols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as needed.
• Support emergency response activities, including guiding individuals during evacuations and/or assisting first responders as directed.
• Communicate professionally with store staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required for positions that are primarily driving posts and/or require compliance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
