KidZone TV Producer-Child Life Program-Mount Sinai Hospital-Full-time-Day

Within the Child Life and Creative arts Therapy Department, responsible for program content, patient and family engagement, and daily studio programming. Contributes to the production process for studio activities and supports the Production Supervisor, performing delegated tasks such as the production of patient created video projects, coordination of guest hosts, and creation of show elements. Directs live shows in studio. Creates video experiences with patients and families.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists the Production Supervisor in coordination of production schedule.
• Collaborates with production team and clinical staff in preparation of show elements, and staffing of live shows.
• Coordinates external guest host shows and in-studio events.
• Facilitates and supports departmental clinical hosts in the creation and airing of recurring therapeutically centered live shows and studio experiences. Leads monthly brainstorming meeting for clinical hosts.
• Facilitates 1:1 and group patient media production “open studio” sessions.
• Coordinates project archive and the timely distribution of patient recordings and projects to families.
• Coordinates intern and volunteer programs. Liaisons with schools, hospital volunteer department and studio team to interview, onboard and train interns and volunteers. Collaborates with Production Supervisor on intern supervision and progression.
• Maintains participation statistics and tracks studio spending requests. Generates monthly participation reports to leadership.
• Assists the Production Supervisor in managing studio equipment and systems.
• Participates in team meetings, individual and group supervision.

Education Requirements:

• High school degree required. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Television Production, or related field preferred. 

Experience Requirements:

• Proficient in production equipment and professional postproduction video and sound editing.
• Proficient in direct social media video production and editing platforms.
• Experience working with broadcast equipment (i.e., Tricaster) preferred.
• Experience working with pediatric patients preferred.
• Experience working with children’s television programming preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

 

Compensation Statement

 

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $.00 - $.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
