We have openings for Principal Systems Engineers to join our Airborne Multifunction Systems (AMS) Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team at our Linthicum, MD campus. We have a wide array of activities requiring multiple new additions.
This will be supporting Advanced Tactical Programs (ATP) Engineering & Manufacturing Development (EMD) contracts within the Tactical Fighters AMS Engineering and Sciences homeroom.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Performing hands-on integration and testing of sophisticated radar systems and subsystems, including both hardware, software, and firmware components in development and production environments.
Developing and executing comprehensive test plans and procedures for verifying system requirements.
Coordinating integration and test activities for system qualification including but not limited to environmental, electromagnetic interference, and thermal cycling
Cost Account Management / Earned Value Management and associated Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) support
Supporting flight test activities at a full scope level from hardware and software coordination, bench testing, aircraft installation, and flight operations.
Fostering team collaboration to solve complex engineering problems and ensure project milestones are achieved.
Identifying and implementing process improvements within the team to enhance productivity and quality of deliverables.
This position is contingent upon transfer of DoD Secret Clearance with Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience, a Master’s degree with 3 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 0 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher and Special Program Access (SAP) is required.
Previous work troubleshooting hardware and software integration
Knowledge of radar, electronic warfare, or other comparable RF systems
Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Strong written and oral communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
ATP SAP program clearance
Prior experience leading a small team of technical professionals
Previous experience developing and using MATLAB tools
Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other related technical field
Hands-on work with RF test equipment
