We now have an open position as Senior Manager and Release Train Engineer (RTE) in the Logistics Agile Release Train (ART). In the role of RTE you will be working closely together with the rest of the management team and be responsible for delivering the portfolio of projects through a number of high performing scrum teams.

 

About the job

You will join an international department and you will be working with 500 colleagues in Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands, Poland and UK. Our team is responsible for the development of new IT solutions in Arla, which includes everything from IT systems controlling, the manufacturing process at a dairy to large SAP solutions, apps to our farmers and web shops for our consumers.

Your ART Team is responsible for delivering IT solutions to the logistics organization. Our team covers  the IT solutions for the 100+ warehouses, thousands of own trucks that transport our raw milk and finished goods, factory warehouses serving raw materials, fleet of material moving equipment and AGVs and more.

Your role will be to create a high performing organization by building up and leading teams of highly skilled solution consultants, scrum masters and developers as well as managing vendor relations and agreements. You will get to work with a various landscape of internally and externally managed applications.

You will be working in a scaled agile setup (SAFe) with cross functional agile teams with colleagues from our business function, IT Solutions and external consultants in an international setup. We strongly believe in agile ways of working, frequent deliveries, focus on business value and empowerment.

Specifically, you will:

  • Have overall responsibility for planning and execution of activities in alignment with business plans
  • Manage the function’s budget and resources
  • Play an active role in managing stakeholders across the organization
  • Be responsible for securing proper resource allocation – both own and external resources (vendors)
  • Proactively agree on and align team performance targets
  • Be responsible for all vendor/supplier management including quality assurance
  • Lead team towards business to secure optimal use and utilization of the implemented solutions/systems
  • Be an active Teamplayer in the Release Team Management, lead and develop and coach your team  to become even more effective and highly motivated
  • Drive further solution standardization, optimized usage and better utilization of new and existing applications
  • Be a skilled, ambitious yet empathic people manager for your team and surrounding colleagues.
  • Be an active player in the team of RTE’s and the RTE Community of Practice.
     

Who are you?
You have an agile mindset combined with a strong delivery/result focus. You can be described as a strong collaborator and facilitator, able to handle cooperation across different functions, locations, cultures and vendors. Your high engagement and energy allow you to move and look for new ways to improve current ways of working.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Relevant education at Bachelor/Master’s level
  • Experience as a direct people manager / directing teams to success
  • Experience with working Agile, preferably SAFe
  • Proven project or program management experience (Prince2/IPMA/PMI certification an advantage)
  • Experience with Logistic Solutions and/or exposure to Supply Chain topics is a clear advantage
  • At least 5-10 years of experience within IT
  • Fluency in English
