This role is for Global Transitions team under the Global Client Onboarding Business Unit, which provides operational support in respect of New Business, TBAs (Transfers Between Account), Inspecie/Conversions, Restructures and other Transition related activities for both Domestic and Global clients on Fund master & IMS, ensuring that all the requests received are acted upon within the required timeframe and assisting the internal partner areas that are raising these requests. Support consulting services to internal partners who require guidance with technical issues related to the TBAs & Restructure events. Carry out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.

Summary:

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time), Sr. Consultant works as part of a large team and/or multiple locations; and is responsible for ensuring all assignments completed by Associate Consultant and Consultants are in accordance with policies, procedures and controls and meet service level standards in place.

The position reports to the Manager, CS Invest Ops manager of the GCO - NA Global Transitions team where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines and/or processes.  Full ownership should be taken for one or more processes, and projects.  Analytically and procedurally competent, representing the team on cross-function process or project deliverables.  An expert in a specific skill sets but remains focused primarily on daily execution of Global Transitions responsibilities. 

Major Duties:

• Responsible for providing excellent service through the execution of daily functions and tasks.
• Perform root cause analysis and escalate repetitive operational problems to management, works to resolve via formal action plan.
• Works effectively both as a team member as well as an independent, self-motivated individual.
• Resolve complex inquiries and escalations where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines, and/or processes.  Facilitate solutions that ensure operational excellence.   
• Responsible for multiple projects of various complexities.
• Assist with the on-boarding and training of new partners, able to cross-train junior level Partners on other functions as well as provide back up.
• Serve as a key subject matter expert for both regional and global business optimization initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for improvement within existing technology applications while acting as a liaison with Partner areas to drive resolution.
• Serve as a coach and mentor to junior level partners on both operational processes as well issue analysis and resolution.
• Ensure timely response to queries is provided by all team members. Independently build relationships with internal and client contacts.
• Will act as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) and participate and/or lead department projects and initiatives.
• Responsible for understanding client's end-to-end process flows, business needs and deliverables. Resolve client issues or inquiries with limited input.
• Understand current Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that are directly related to job function(s).
• Mentor junior Partners on how to establish, build and maintain effective working relationships with key Partners internal and external to the organization. Drive the engagement of other partners as appropriate to solve client inquiries/issues.
• As an individual contributor, continue to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external partners.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Has in-depth knowledge of custody Transitions and market purchase & sale trades (RVP/DVP). In addition, firm understanding on settlement cycle and procedure of RVP/DVP trades and FXs across all markets globally.
