Assistant Controller

Reporting to the Controller, the Assistant Controller’s primary responsibilities will be to manage core areas of general accounting, including accounts payable, payroll and general accounting, as well as prepare consolidated financial statements. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial transactions through the review of bills, journal entries, month-end account reconciliations and financial statement flux analyses. We require a self-motivated, high-energy individual who will champion process improvements as the Company continues to grow.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the Accounting Department including Accounts Payable and Payroll processes
• Manage processes to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual close, including review of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Analyze monthly results and account fluctuations to drive more accurate reporting
• Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and other ad hoc reporting as requested
• Coordinate and support annual audits ensuring established deadlines are met
• Assist the Controller in daily banking requirements
• Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Manage accounting staff such that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner
• Develop and implement policies, procedures and internal controls
• Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Accounting
• 3-5 years of managerial experience required
• Experience in SaaS/Software industry and public company environment preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with Acumatica is preferred, but not required
• CPA license preferred
