About the role

Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors including monitoring persons who enter the clinic and controlling access to sensitive areas. Assists management in enforcing safety regulations -- aware of building exits and evacuation routes. Responsible for maintaining a sign-in roster at front desk for all visitors. Responsible for conducting building and grounds surveillance on a regular basis to detect and report any safety violations. Responsible for monitoring and documenting patient loitering within a four-block radius. Responsible for conducting periodic and random fire drills. Maintains clear communication with management.

 

  • High School/GED
  • Must have at least one (1) year experience in security operations.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness and/or substance abuse disorders preferred.
  • Current New York State Security Officer Certification
  • Current Fire Guard Certification
Pay: 1199 Collective Bargaining Rates
