Director, Fiscal OperationsJob Description Summary
The Director of Fiscal Operations reports to the Assistant Vice President for Residential & Hospitality Services (RHS) and is RHS’ Senior Business Administrator. In this capacity, the Director oversees a staff of 5 to lead and manage the fiscal operations of RHS, including: budgeting and financial management, financial analysis and reporting, compliance and contract management, and long-range financial and capital planning. Importantly, this position is responsible for consolidated forecasting and budget reporting for RHS and prepares a wide variety of reports and analyses for annual budgets, capital planning, and contracted dining operations. This position is highly collaborative and requires engagement with business partners in RHS, the Business Services Division, across other University departments, and external contractors.Job Description
DUTIES:
Budget and Financial Management:
Residential Services Revenue: Manage and set the budget ($84M annually) for on-campus student residential services revenue in collaboration with the Director of Housing. This includes occupancy management for 6,000 students in 17 buildings. Work closely with the Housing Assignments group to update occupancy by semester, room type, and bed, adjusting for student cancellations and study abroad changes to ensure accurate revenue forecasts.
Hospitality and Conference Services: In collaboration with the Director of Hospitality Services, forecast and budget for Hospitality and Conference Services operations, including the University Club and summer conference programming, which hosts over 4,000 guests while generating $9M in gross revenues.
