Reporting to the Financial Service Supervisor 1, the Financial Services Analyst 3 will serve as the lead Analyst of Financial/ Billing Operations for Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DLAM). The Analyst will provide high-level analyses, financial management, and administrative support for the Finance Team and support the entire department. The Analyst will serve as the back-up for the Finance Service Supervisor 1 in their absence to lead the team in its operations. The Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of revenue entries, NPEAR processing, ledger reconciliation, compiling financial reports and provide high-level analyses of administrative and financial aspects.

The Analyst is responsible for reconciling P-card transactions, verifying recharge IDs in the financial system, and submitting monthly fiscal and operational reports to the CAO and Finance Supervisor. This role involves tracking expenses and income from various funds, as well as analyzing and monitoring financial activity related to vivarium general funds and income accounts. Additionally, the Analyst prepares statistical financial reports based on activities across multiple accounts, including medical, vivarium, income accounts, and campus veterinary general funds. Serving as the Department Backup-DSA for all DLAM employees, the Analyst also reviews departmental purchases within the Post Authorization Notifications (PAN) system to ensure compliance and accuracy.
The Financial Services Analyst will meet on a regular basis with the Finance Supervisor and CAO/CFO but operate independently on a daily basis.

Annual Salary Range: $68,800.00 – 141,000.00

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, and prepare or reconcile financial reports, ledgers, and accounting journals.
• Strong writing skills to prepare correspondences, memos, forms and reports with speed and accuracy.
