Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Aerospace Patrol Team in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol designated areas at a leading aerospace and defense location. Your primary responsibilities include conducting visible patrols to help to deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas, to help to deter unauthorized activities.
- Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying credentials of personnel and visitors entering sensitive locations typically found in an aerospace and defense environment.
- Support Allied Universal leadership and local law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents or events.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of all security-related activities, incidents, and observations encountered during patrols.
- Carry, maintain, and responsibly handle assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with company and site policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of one year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Experience in access control and/or badge management is preferred.
- Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
- Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
