RN, Short Stay Surgery/PACU

Fresno Heart and Surgical Hospital is a campus of Community Regional Medical Center that is known for its luxurious accommodations, excellent patient experience and five-star cardiac, vascular and bariatric surgery services.  With 57 beds (48 are private patient suites), we admit more than 3,100 patients annually and provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services.

 

 

Responsibilities

In this role you will utilize the nursing process to identify patient needs which encompasses an entire surgical procedure, from beginning to completion on a same-day basis, without the anticipation of an overnight hospitalization. Typical short-stay surgery patients are individuals who are healthy except for the condition that necessitates their elective surgery and for whom serious complications are highly unlikely. Our unit is an integral part of the surgical, anesthesia and PACU departments.

Qualifications

Education• Graduate of approved nursing program required• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred Experience• Experience in Short Stay Surgery or PACU highly preferred Licenses and Certifications• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required• BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
