Summary:

A seasoned Travel Industry professional, providing advanced proficiency developing and applying expertise and leadership in Corporate Travel management that supports Cook Children's Health Care System. Responsible for the coordinated management of multiple platforms for agent assist and self-service needs. Senior Travel Agent provides direct support to corporate and leisure travel clients; ensures adherence to Travel Policy; manages day to day operations of the Travel Program and all applications there-of. Fosters professional business relationships with the Host Agency, third party vendors and suppliers. Actively participates in the success of company financial, strategic, and service excellence initiatives as they relate to travel program.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years Travel Industry.

  • Proficient in SABRE Global Distribution System, Online booking tools, Microsoft Office Suite and software applications.

  • Strong international and domestic travel counseling skills.

  • Strong travel agent ethic - confidentiality, privacy of information.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrate ability to work as part of multiple teams.

  • Self-motivated and ability to prioritize and address a variety travel service and operational issues within a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, critical thinking and negotiation skills.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Certified Travel Associate (CTA) preferred.
