Position Summary
The Events & Operations Manager reports to the Regional Vice President OVG and locally the Stadium Operations Director. This position will oversee staffing and FOH aspects of events at the Lexington Sporting Club Stadium while also being responsible for the maintenance plans and care of the stadium site. In this role, the OEM will manage every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; hire, train, schedule and supervise necessary event staff; oversee building security and interact with local public safety officials to ensure events run smoothly; coordinate communication between event staff/security and delegate assignments; be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction and experience.
This individual will work directly with the Club Head of Operations to develop and execute the Club’s stadium operation plan.
This role pays an annual salary of $50,000-$70,000.

About the Venue
Lexington Sporting Club is an American professional soccer team based in Lexington, KY. The soccer complex off Athens-Boonesboro Road near I-75 opened in August 2024 in time for the organization’s first USL Super League season. Home to both Men’s and Women’s USL Professional Soccer teams, the 7,500-seat stadium is set to be one of the premier sporting venues in Lexington.
Responsibilities
- Create a draft budget and plan for the facility operations department annually.
- Providing standard operational excellence within the defined annual budget.
- Specific duties related to the budget include but are not limited to: Meet with the Director of Finance regularly to ensure budgets are maintained, provide regular reports, short-range and long-range detailing budget forecasting and provide back-up documentation to budget line items from time to time.
- Oversee the stadium in a manner that ensures a fiscally responsible high standard of operational excellence.
- Develop and log all maintenance performed on the property and report back to the Director of Operations for solutions on how to fix, upgrade and maintain the physical property of the stadium.
- Coordinate & supervise with the Director of Operations all preventative maintenance agreements for the work to be done at the stadium.
- Coordinate all aspects of stadium cleaning.
- Develop and execute third-party cleaning contract in manner that achieves standard excellence.
- Coordinate the fiscally responsible purchases by supplying the cleaning company and facility manager with all products necessary to operate the facility.
- When possible, facilitate deals with vendors to provide product (and associated vendor sponsorships).
- Ordering products and maintaining inventories on all consumable products.
- Act as the main point of contact to advance all front-of-house aspects of the game including staffing, event coordination, security procedures, producing an event document and distributing for all LSC staff to follow related to the event day
- Serve as the Manager on Duty for soccer games and events at the LSC stadium
- Provide leadership and guidance for all staff members related to opening and closing procedures of the stadium
- Solve patron issues to provide the best customer experience for guests attending the events at the stadium
- Verify that event spaces and all aspects of the stadium are set up properly for the event before opening doors
- Ensure facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures are being followed at all times by employees and patrons
- Anticipate problems and develop solutions by analyzing, investigating and quickly solving any issues that would impact the event
- Submit all payroll to OVG payroll system to ensure proper payment to OVG staff.
- Submit all invoices to LSC Finance Department for timely payment to all third party vendors.
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise designated staff.
