JOB PURPOSE:
Your role is to galvanize the organization, including those in headquarters, our factories and logistics operations as well as in our partner ecosystems, to be vigilant about controls and always take proper action to protect our business. It is everyone's responsibility to drive stewardship, and you play a key role in elevating that message.

Establishing and maintaining a strong governance model for the entire company policies and procedures is one of your key responsibilities. You will be expected to apply risk and control concepts to new and existing business models, clearly and concisely communicate identified findings to the leadership team, and partner with cross-functions teams to design workflows in support of risk-reduction activities.
The role reports directly to the America’s Finance Senior Manager Controls and Compliance, providing visibility, assurance, and guidance on business risk management, internal & external audits and value protection.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute internal audits and control testing in line with Unilever’s global audit methodology and SOX requirements.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify control gaps and recommend remediation plans.
· Support the documentation and validation of Information Used in Control (IUC) to ensure completeness and accuracy.
· Coordinate with external auditors to provide timely and accurate documentation for SOX walkthroughs, control testing, and remediation follow-ups.
· Participate in risk assessments and contribute to the annual audit plan.
· Prepare clear, concise audit reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
· Assist in training and awareness sessions on internal controls and compliance best practices.
· Become a subject matter expert on the Global Financial Control Framework (GFCF) with the ability to provide direction, insight and implementation assistance to the control stakeholders.
· Monitor key performance indicators (i.e.: Control Cockpit Dashboard) and financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Closely working with manufacturing sites, logistic and SCFS to sustain a high control performance.
· Support innovation and transition projects, review the to-be process design and perform control impact assessments.
