The Role:
We are looking for our next Pharmaceutical Customer Technical Service (CTS) Intern within our Pharmaceutical Applications Team. The Pharma CTS Intern will report directly to the Global Head of CTS, Pharma and will be responsible for various projects supporting internal and external customers to develop new pharmaceutical technical solutions and products.
Interns will be exposed to training in pharmaceutical oral solid dose formulation development, design of experiments, pharmaceutical unit operations, and analytical testing. Interns will collaborate with diverse groups within Roquette and use state of art laboratory and equipment. The laboratory is well equipped with pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment for blending, tablet compression, granulation, encapsulation, coating, and other applications.

The hourly rate of pay for this role is $22/hour

What You’ll Do:
Receive training on laboratory safety, documentation, and manufacturing procedures
Contribute to several ongoing pharmaceutical development projects. Examples include evaluating an excipient for a new application, executing a design of experiments to evaluate formulated products or process design, and data acquisition and modeling of predictive systems.
Analytical method development and execution
Examples of instruments used: HPLC, dissolution apparatus, microscopy, viscometer, etc.
Writing of technical reports and presentation of data in a group setting, participate in group technical meetings
What You’ll Need:
Education:
Enrollment in a Masters, PhD or PharmD program in pharmaceutical science or a related field
Experience:
Results based, goal-focused mindset with a natural curiosity, demonstrated by extracurricular involvement in clubs or community

Leadership and/or work experience to supplement strong student achievement
Knowledge of physics/chemistry/chemical engineering of materials is a plus.
