THE JOB:

As a Heavy-Duty Kitchen Cleaner, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our commercial kitchen environment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all kitchen equipment and surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet food safety regulations.

STARTING RATE: $22.7156

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Ensure cleanliness of ceilings, walls, and high areas using ladders.

  • Deep clean kitchen equipment (char broilers, griddles, etc.) to maintain sanitation.

  • Manage washing and sanitizing of pots and pans with a three-compartment sink or pot machine.

  • Handle and store dishware, glassware, and flatware promptly after cleaning.

  • Ensure proper usage and storage of cleaning supplies and chemicals for safety.

  • Clean and sanitize pots and pans, ensuring hygiene standards.

  • Sanitize kitchen surfaces, including baseboards, drains, sinks, tables, and cutting boards.

  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment (dish machines, ice machines, prep tables, refrigerators).

  • Efficiently handle waste disposal and adhere to biohazard protocols.

  • Manage linen inventory and timely removal of soiled linens.

  • Transport kitchen equipment to various property areas smoothly.

  • Maintain the appearance of equipment through regular polishing.

  • Follow regulatory and internal policies, including SNHD, OSHA, and Fire Department guidelines.

  • Operate and maintain large equipment (floor scrubbers, pallet jacks, forklifts, power washers).

  • Complete mandatory health and safety training sessions.

  • Communicate equipment concerns to supervisors for timely resolution.

  • Preform other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

  • Effectively communicate in English, both oral and written forms.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Six (6) months utility porter experience in a similar resort setting.

  • Bilingual

  • Experience working with cleaning chemicals.

  • Ability to constantly stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel and squat.

  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
