AMDEX Corporation is seeking a Project Manager/Database Management Analyst to join its team supporting our contract with the Federal government.

Works with a small team providing technical expertise to enhance the client's Enterprise Data Architecture (EDA), in areas that include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Recommends and implements automation or other procedural improvements that serve to increase accuracy and currency, or which reduce level of effort required to sustain the EDA.
  • Recommends and implements improved capabilities which enhance end user comprehension, and rapid insight into the EDA. 
  • Provides enhancements to tools in response to client data architecture needs or the needs of the Chief Data Officer.
  • Works with the Information Assurance Division and other client entities as needed to sustain the existing Authority to Operate (ATO) for the Collibra Data Governance Center, or to accomplish other ATOs as needed.
  • Assures availability of all client-owned tools to end users.
  • Leverages Data Management Repositories – When practical, based on cost-benefit analysis, utilize data management tools to host the IEDA and data governance content as an alternative to client-owned tools. 
  • Provides technical expertise into the capabilities of new or existing tools to optimize the user experience and minimize level of effort required to expand and host the EDA as well as client data governance content and processes.
  • Collaborates and assists with responses related to data governance or data architecture-related activities as well as responses to other Government agencies.
  • Promotes alignment with data management standards. Enhances the degree to which client data complies with the client and NIEM requirements and policies, as well as with industry best practices.  
  • Promotes Data Management Best Practices, serving as a center of excellence for disseminating best practices from industry and within client.  
  • Provides expertise to plan, execute, and measure improvement to data quality in specific program areas.   
  • Responsible for authoring and keeping SOPs current, as well as providing thought leadership to optimize procedures to maximize quality and efficiency.

Required Skills and Relevant Experience:

  • 9+ years of relevant experience with 4+ years full-lifecycle, software development project management experience.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of design of Service-Oriented Architecture at the enterprise-level.
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Erwin
  • Experience in implementing and supporting data governance and data architecture tools, especially Collibra Data Governance Center.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting an enterprise data management or data governance program, including considerations such as
    • Establishment of processes, policies, and organizations
    • Prioritization of objectives based on cost versus benefit
    • Development and execution of stakeholder engagement strategy and communications
  • Experience in design of Big Data Environments which utilize technologies such as distributed processing, graph databases, AI, etc.
  • Experience in the creation of IT data exchanges that adhere to National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)-based data structures and architectures, as well as experience in the creation of NIEM Domains.
  • Experience in implementing a formal data quality improvement program, including data profiling, monitoring, and reporting
  • Experience in implementing automated testing
  • Experience in implementing DevOps or DevSecOps 

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related academic focus area
  • Project Management Certification such as PMP
