Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation, and we never compromise them.</span></p> <p> </p> <p> </p><p><span>We are looking for a <strong>Senior Service Engineer 2 stroke</strong> to strengthen our skilled 2-Stroke Field Service team.  </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span>The location for this position is <strong>Gdansk, Poland</strong>. </span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Your role and responsibilities   </strong></span></p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>As a Senior Service Engineer 2 stroke you will focus on these responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>Conduct overhauls of engine components on site/on board, including some in situ machining according to the work plan.</span></li> <li><span>Perform advanced mechanical, electronic, automation, and system integration-related fault finding and troubleshooting on 2-stroke engines and ancillary equipment.</span></li> <li><span>Provide technical advice for repair activities carried out by customers.</span></li> <li><span>Perform mechanical commissioning and verification of work done.</span></li> <li><span>Lead and manage the assigned team and supervise related activities on site during FS work execution.</span></li> <li><span>Interact with customers and the FS and TS back offices during work.</span></li> <li><span>Provide internal and external progress updates on the assigned work.</span></li> <li><span>Prepare service work reports and travel expense reports on time and to the expected Wärtsilä quality standard.</span></li> <li><span>Proactively consult, advise, and promote Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong><span>To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span>B. Sc. or M. Sc. in Engineering or similar relevant technical educational background.</span></li> <li><span>Previous working experience with service work on installations of mechanical, electrical, and/or auxiliary equipment.</span></li> <li><span>Deep understanding of the principles of operation of 2-stroke engines.</span></li> <li><span>Awareness and readiness to take up mechanical and electrical troubleshooting tasks on engines, auxiliary systems, and our service products..</span></li> <li><span>Proficient reporting skills.</span></li> <li><span>MS Office skills, along with skills in other relevant reporting tools.</span></li> <li><span>Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with ability to work in a multicultural environment and seamlessly collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.</span></li> <li><span>Fluent Polish along with strong English language skills, both written and verbal.</span></li> <li><span>Passion for learning and willingness to enhance knowledge in order to service our retrofit products.</span></li> <li><span>Willingness to travel world-wide. </span></li> <li><span>Valid driving license.</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>Why you and us?  </strong></span></p> <p><span>  </span></p> <p><span>You are valued – as your true self.
