About the role

Description

The Schluter Systems Regional Manager (RM) position will be responsible for supporting the Territory Managers, Commercial Managers, Field Representatives and Field Technical Managers within the region.

Together with the sales team, the RM will reinforce and advance the Schluter Systems business model, philosophies and strategic objectives. The RM will act to support, monitor, and enhance the skills of all Field personnel. The RM will act as a liaison between field management and corporate management and will report primarily to the Regional Sales Director and other corporate management as necessary. The RM will be accountable for the following:


· Business Partner Development: Establish and maintain direct relationships with key distribution partners, key Authorized Schluter Dealers (ASDs) and other various important contacts (i.e. Regional VP’s, Regional Sales and Operation Managers, etc.), ensuring that our core philosophies, general business model and current corporate initiatives are understood, accepted and supported as to maximize all synergistic opportunities between Schluter Systems and our partners.

· Communication Liaison: Establish and maintain a consistent flow of communication between field management personnel and corporate management.

o Monitor and review reports from Territory Managers, Commercial Managers, Field Representatives and Field Technical Managers respective to their designated area and work in concert with the field personnel to address any opportunities and challenges.

o Supply Schluter corporate management with a yearly regional sales plan.

· Recruiting: Aid the Director of Sales in recruiting and evaluating additional field management personnel within their region on an as needed basis.

· Education and Training: Support education and training events as needed.

· Complaint Resolution: Be responsible for, along with the corresponding field management, the successful strategic resolution of all project complaints within their region.

o Have the authority, at their discretion, to compensate claimants, with Schluter product(s) only, all strategic “settlements” up to $2000 (cost of end-user). Will ensure that all product compensation is communicated to and in compliance with the Schluter Technical Department. Will make aware and consult with Schluter corporate management on larger or potentially litigious claims.

· Corporate Representation: Represent Schluter corporate management at key functions and meetings within their regions.

· Sales Team Reviews: Performance evaluations are expected to be carried out with each sales team member individually on a quarterly basis. Review and progress reports should be sent to the Regional Sales Director within 30 days after the end of the quarter.

· Other Responsibilities:

o Be responsible for the development and maintenance of all national programs located within their region (i.e. national and regional builder programs, buying group programs, and special national account customers).

o Maintenance of all rebates in place within the Region.

o RMs will from time to time be responsible for special duties or initiatives at the discretion of Schluter corporate management.

o Complete special projects as directed by Schluter corporate management.

o Represent Schluter Systems L.P. in a positive, professional and enthusiastic manner in all matters.

Requirements

· Outside sales experience with tile installation materials or other technical sales.

· Familiarity with Company products, territory, markets and clients.

· Strong oral, written and presentation skills.

· Demonstrated leadership skills.

· Time and territory management abilities.

· Proven problem-solving abilities.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

· Ability to attend and fully participate in national, regional, and team meetings with overnight stays.

· Ability to travel daily up to 80 percent of the time meeting customers and using the remaining time for planning, preparation and training.

· Ability to drive a Company vehicle and pass a driving record background check (including moving violations, accidents, license suspension, etc.) to be insurable with Company’s insurer without surcharges or other additional charges.

o Company-owned vehicles may only be operated by authorized employees and for business purposes only

o Any driver of a Company-owned vehicle shall, at all times, hold and maintain state driving privileges in the driver’s state of residence without restrictions, unless such restrictions are approved by the Company in its sole discretion.

· Abide with Company rules and policies.
