ADEF is looking for an entrepreneurial, results driven and forward-thinking leader for our ADEF Space sub-strategy. In this role, you will reinvent the ADEF New Space and Traditional Space strategy, prospect and cultivate new relationships, gather an understanding of the Space Market across TG’s with the goal of securing and growing strategic accounts. You will engage deeply with the top customers and internal stakeholders within the BU, sales, and manufacturing organizations formulating product development and account strategies.  You will own business development, product development & test, as well as customer support.

The person will be responsible for the overall Space strategy to meet short and long-term business objectives for revenue, growth, profitability, quality, and customer satisfaction. He/she must also be adept at creating and delivering timely updates for a senior management audience. 

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Create alignment across ADI to address the rapidly expanding space market to outpace our competition.
  • Manage a large team of product and test engineers, program managers, business operations personnel to execute on the goals and priorities of the business across multiple sites.
  • Develop and execute an integrated strategy to drive profitable growth at the target customers and broad market.
  • Develop strong technical and commercial relationships at the customers and across ADI BUs and sales organizations.
  • Be the advocate for the customer while balancing the BU business goals to align product development priorities while communicating customer needs effectively and within the proper context.
  • Collaborate with Sales Directors, Global and Key Account Managers and Local Sales Representatives to service the business effectively.
  • Clearly and concisely provide information to ADI senior management on all aspects of the business related to the customers.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications …

  • BSEE or equivalent with a Background in Space technologies. MBA is a bonus.
  • 5+ years of combined related experience in Engineering Management and/or business leadership
  • Proven ability to build strong networks and relationships and manage through influence across multi-disciplined BU and customer facing teams.
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs develop products or market strategies to meet these needs.
  • Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop engineering, applications, and business development teams in the US and Internationally.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to communicate to senior executive levels.
  • US citizenship and the ability to gain a DOD SECRET clearance is required.
  • This role requires the ability to travel up to 20% of the time including both international and domestic trips
