Job Summary

We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Director of Global Fulfillment to join our team. You will lead a team of professionals who are involved in the scheduling of customer orders and prioritizing production at the factories for demand in the Americas. This team will also have responsibility for managing the global order fulfillment process and its supporting systems.

 

Reports to: Vice President, Supply Chain Management
Reports: Approximately 10 people, the staff is based in the US
Key Interfaces: Global Operations leadership team, Sales Operations, Sales account managers, Finance, Supply Planning, Logistics, IT, and contract manufacturing partners

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the global order fulfillment process and supporting systems
  • Manage the shipment schedule for orders of customers in the Americas based on supply commitments
  • Set priorities globally for manufacturing in case of materials constraints, to maximize customer satisfaction, and for Quarter End revenue
  • Address supply issues and other constraints with the Supply Planning organization and with Procurement for resolution
  • Drive relevant internal stakeholders as well as logistics and manufacturing partners to achieve flawless execution at NetApp’s fiscal quarter ends
  • Lead efforts to improve customer satisfaction through shorter lead times and improved on-time delivery to first commit
  • Use advanced data quantitative techniques to analyze operational issues and identify opportunities for improvements
  • Lead cross-functional projects and global projects to drive process and systems transformation
  • Ensure SOX compliance

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, planning, and order fulfillment with proven results at the managerial level
  • Exposure to multiple supply chain operations models with specific focus on the hardware technology industry
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Experience managing and collaborating across the organization with global teams from different cultures and leading teams towards shared organizational goals
  • Track record of inspiring change and being the change agent who drives business and operational transformation
  • Ability to operate with a high sense of urgency over a sustained period of time and juggle multiple projects
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management or a related field
